Now that is what I need, a book for dummies. I'm having the hardest time trying to find out what kind of adapters we need to plug in our laptop and our battery charger for the camera. I need someone to say, here this is what you need!

Okay, I am going to try and answer, becuse I just went through this. For most electronics like the lap top you just need the plug adapters. I took ones for china and hong kong, and used them each in differnt areas. Look on you lap top power cord, there should be a converter box thing that has a voltage range of 100-240V. if it does it will be fine with the plug adapter only. You can look on the camera cord as well to see.
The tech geeks in our travel group told me this before we left, I was lost as well. Good luck on the trip.
