Its 340 in the morning, and our little princess is sleeping in her daddys arms. Most of night she kicks me and now the two of them are peacefully sleeping, hmmmm, maybe they wanted me to move.
Yesterday, she slept until 630, so she got a solid 11 hour sleep. We let her play some before getting dressed and going to breakfast, this child can put away some food. I dont know how I'll keep food in the house for her and PaulPaul. :)
We were not doing anything until 12, so we hung out in the room and played. We have got to figure out her schedule. We took some laundry out today, was like an act of congress. This is not the friendliest place on earth. I'm used to most of the stares. It is easy to see and tell that in this part of China, they do not like US foreigners taking their children. The hotel staff in the morning especially! What ya gonna do? I guess us playing with her and kissing her in public does not help, but I DONT CARE. Our guide does not know this area very well so NOT alot planned other than going to where we NEED to. :(
We went to her finding spot yesterday, and as I've always felt, she was left where she would be found quickly. I know my baby has been loved by three mothers, and I'll make sure you knows that has she gets older. We've put the necklace and other pictures up, it's too confusing for her.
After the finding spot, we had to go to the notary office to pick up our paperwork, and after we were going to go look around the culture street, however, she has a cold, and was not feeling well. Also, on top of that this schedule thing is not helping. We decided to come back to the room. After a while she was her same cheery self. Back to our regular restaurant, we've ate there the last three nights. Grace loves corn. We're trying to learn her likes and dislikes, there is not much she turns away and will at least try it before shaking her head NO.
After dinner we walked into another shoe store, hoping to get her some more shoes. We have really not had a chance to do as much shopping as we thought we would, really not much at all. In Beijing, we were on a FULL schedule, that didnt really include much shopping. And here, I cant even seem to get us to the Walmart. Our driver does not seemed thrilled to have to take us places, and this is NOT the place to venture out on our own.
We went to the little market (almost like a gas station, only smaller and no gas) next to the hotel for more water. And little Miss Grace was eyeing a pc of candy, so her daddy got her two. She already has him completely in love, he is a different man that the one I came here with. And when she wasnt looking he got her two more pcs. He is too funny. She does NOT like his mustache at all. He told her he was sorry, but that wasnt going anywhere.
Helen came back to our room to watch her play with her ball, I think she wanted to see if we had plugged in the machine (cant think of the word) that she had sent up to help Grace breath. I had planned on plugging it up when we put her to bed. Needless to say she had it going before she left.
So at 745 we got her ready for bed, brushed her teeth, I gave her some more medicine, which she does not like, but if you let her do it, she will take it her. She is really a very good girl, but is still struggling to understand everything.
She cried for a minute when I said bedtime at 800, but took her sip of water and we all laid down, she was out in 15 minutes.
We're getting her up at 6 today, and hope we can get her to take a nap, before we leave later. Mr Lu our drive to taking us to a shopping center, I THINK. We'll see.
Not having much luck at getting home earlier, Sue said we would have to be in Hong Kong on the 10, not gonna happen.
