another post and still no pics (DH's fault)

Well it was our last day in Tianjin, it was mixed emotions.  As thrilled as I was to leave, it was a little sad to know that we were removing Gracie from the place she was born.  Our guide Helen was very sad to see us go, she was really attached to Gracie.  We will miss her.  We've already got it set up for her and Gracie to talk weekly, we do not want Gracie to loose her Chinese language.

We skipped breakfast this morning (but dont worry, we fed the baby).  We were having lunch at 12, one final time at our restaurant.  Did I tell you a fish jumped out of the tank the other night while we were there, I guess he figured, he'd try to escape before someone picked him for their dinner.  I did not tell you, the other night, Helen ordered a cold dish, Gracie loved it.  She said it had cucumbers and mushrooms in it.  Well I'm not big on mushrooms, but paul ray is.  Funny, funny story.  He said he knew it was chewy, so those pcs he pushed to the side after the first one or two, Helen would then tell us it was JELLYFISH!@  EWWWWWW YUCK!  But my baby girl loved it.

After lunch we went back to the room to get Gracie a nap and finish packing.   We met Helen in the lobby around 215 and got checked out.  She and Gracie went next door so Helen could buy her some candy and spoil her just a little more.  It was then off to the airport.  (Helen you hadnt heard this one yet)  Helen said we would be fine once we got through the security point.  We said our goodbys there, that was as far as she could go.  We would have NEVER made it this week without her.  She helped so much with gracie and made it so much easier for our baby.  So we are sitting down and waiting and this cop comes by and look, (like every other person in that town I kept waiting for someone to fall over or trip on something from looking at us) anyway, he ask paul if he spoke Chinese, he said no, looked at me and ask, i said no, he looked at gracie, i said yes she does.  He asked her something, WHO knows,  He said "she said ????" He then wanted ID, we gave him our passports and gracies.  Finally paul pulled out the adoption paperwork, he said, OH, kinda smiled and said "Have a Safe Trip".  Next a very nice couple (not alot of them there) was watching her write in a notepad and tear out the page, finally the lady leans over to me, Now are you ready for this", she says "She looks Chinese" I said, "She is"  She kinda smiled and looked at me, I said we adopted her, she smiles and whispers something to her husband.  I thought it was funny.

We discovered tonight that Miss Grace Does NOT like airplanes. Oh Joy.  I pitty anyone sitting near us on the flight from Hong Kong to Newark.

Well we made it to Guangzhou (spelled wrong _I'm typing in the dark and cant look it up right now) and our guide Grace met us at the airport, I saw her waving and holding the sign.  So far it it much nicer here.  This area is more accepting of Americans, and all of your adoptions are finalized here, so they are used to us.  This hotel is also close to shops, parks and you are safe here.  There is also a playroom here in the hotel.  The room is extremely nice.

Well its midnight and the other two are sleeping so I better go try and get some sleep myself.

Much Love from China and less than a week until were home.
